the Paper Bag look: SS17 LOOK #2

One of my favorite trends I noticed on the runways of top brands, such as Balmain & Stella McCartney, is the paper bag trousers. It’s all about loose fabric tied relatively high up on the waist, creating a slim silhouette & an elegant look.

This trend suits me specifically because it diverts the eye to my upper body as the pants are tied tightly to accentuate the waist. I paired these statement pants with a tight bodysuit. I finished the look with some loafers as this toned it down & made it a little more casual. There are many ways to take the trends off the runways and make it something you can wear from day to day, & that’s what I tried to achieve in this look.

SS17 look #1

The trends for Spring Summer 2017 have sprung.

So many new designs were displayed on the runways during New York & Paris Fashion Week, and I loved it!
Whether its ruffles, sequins, shoulder pads, or any other outrageously designed sleeve, its in. It adds a whole new dimension & interest to the look as it turns heads & catches everyone’s eye. These two incredible pieces were shown on the runways of Yves Saint Laurent.

As soon as this trend came into fashion I started to imagine how I could pull it off in my own way, & when I saw this black & white shirt at the store I knew exactly how I was going to style it. I paired the checkered shirt with black jeans & loafers, something simple to create a more casual look.

I am in love with these shoes & the gold embellishment. Loafers are super trendy right now & they are a great pair of shoes to own because they can be worn in so many different styles. Another super cute accessory that everyone is obsessing over are the mini back packs. I grabbed this cute black leather one to finish up the look.

Topshop shirt, shoes, bag & jeans..

I have a lot more SS17 outfits planned, so stay tuned. X

LATE NIGHT THOUGHTS

“You’re too much,” he said.

“You talk too much, love too much, feel too much. And I don’t know what to do with your muchness.”

“Just love me,” she whispered. “Ï’ll always be too much. I know I talk too much but most of the times I’m talking about you. I know I love too much but that’s the only way I know how to love. I also know I feel too much but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Because in my muchness is my soul and when I love, I love with all my soul. So love me with everything you have. Love me and my muchness even if it’s too much for you.”

This is an excerpt from a book I’m currently reading, A Book I’ll Never Write by Devon Eaton. I always remind myself to start reading again like I used to, & this book was a perfect choice because I can only read something that captivates me & freezes time for a while.

A Book I’ll Never Write is a combination of intense poetry written over a the years by someone who was clearly deeply & unconditionally in love. I feel that this book is something everyone should take time to read, it restores a little faith in our generation of technology.

I love this excerpt specifically because I strongly believe that indulging in your feelings & expressing every single one is what ultimately makes each one of us unique & different. Personally I love it when I am deep in my feelings, whether its love or anger or sadness because sometimes its the only thing that reminds me that I’m human & alive. Sometimes we get so lost in work or studying that we forget how to feel, & its upsetting because the ability to feel is what separates humans from the other beings.

Have you ever been so present in the moment that you feel like you’ve stopped at the peak of a roller coaster about to plunge of the edge, but you’re halted there for a split second?

Euphoria, maybe.

It’s something I live for. I cannot go more than a week or two without feeling lost & losing my sense of reality, because of the current situation I’m in. Being in a boarding school is one of the best things that’s ever happened to me, but it also restricts me to such an extent that I forget who I am & often find myself feeling numb & angry because I tend to distance myself from the certain things that make me who I am.

Reminding you to stay true to yourself & embrace every moment in which you lose yourself in your feelings, & appreciate that you.re lucky enough to experience such moments.

Be someone who feels too much or loves too much, the world needs more people like that.

Thank you for reading, & please keep on doing so as I have a LOT to say.

my Passion for Photography

April 2014, 15 year old me discovered a burning passion for photography.

So I started up a small photography service and I worked every weekend, earning just the right amount of cash for a teenager. I fell in love with the way that the camera could capture so many different facial expressions and emotions. I fell in love with walking on the streets and seeing something interesting and capturing that moment forever.

Photography has become a big part of my life, it is a way that I can support myself (as a 16 year old) and still do the one thing that I love the most. I think it is essential in life to find your passion and pursue it in the most beneficial way, by making it your career. I can think of nothing better than earning money for simply doing what you love. Continue reading “my Passion for Photography”
