One of my favorite trends I noticed on the runways of top brands, such as Balmain & Stella McCartney, is the paper bag trousers. It’s all about loose fabric tied relatively high up on the waist, creating a slim silhouette & an elegant look.

This trend suits me specifically because it diverts the eye to my upper body as the pants are tied tightly to accentuate the waist. I paired these statement pants with a tight bodysuit. I finished the look with some loafers as this toned it down & made it a little more casual. There are many ways to take the trends off the runways and make it something you can wear from day to day, & that’s what I tried to achieve in this look.
So many new designs were displayed on the runways during New York & Paris Fashion Week, and I loved it!
Whether its ruffles, sequins, shoulder pads, or any other outrageously designed sleeve, its in. It adds a whole new dimension & interest to the look as it turns heads & catches everyone’s eye. These two incredible pieces were shown on the runways of Yves Saint Laurent.
As soon as this trend came into fashion I started to imagine how I could pull it off in my own way, & when I saw this black & white shirt at the store I knew exactly how I was going to style it. I paired the checkered shirt with black jeans & loafers, something simple to create a more casual look.
I am in love with these shoes & the gold embellishment. Loafers are super trendy right now & they are a great pair of shoes to own because they can be worn in so many different styles. Another super cute accessory that everyone is obsessing over are the mini back packs. I grabbed this cute black leather one to finish up the look.
April 2014, 15 year old me discovered a burning passion for photography.
So I started up a small photography service and I worked every weekend, earning just the right amount of cash for a teenager. I fell in love with the way that the camera could capture so many different facial expressions and emotions. I fell in love with walking on the streets and seeing something interesting and capturing that moment forever.
Photography has become a big part of my life, it is a way that I can support myself (as a 16 year old) and still do the one thing that I love the most. I think it is essential in life to find your passion and pursue it in the most beneficial way, by making it your career. I can think of nothing better than earning money for simply doing what you love. Continue reading “my Passion for Photography”→
