Best Dressed: 2017 Golden Globes Awards

As we all know, the 74th annual Golden Globes Awards took place in the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills yesterday, 8 January 2017.

Looking through a ton of the images from yesterday’s event & the after party, I couldn’t decide who’s outfit was my favorite. I put together a few of the women that I thought were best dressed.

The first gown that caught my attention was that of Emily Ratajkowski. She wore a golden Reem Acra dress, accessorized with a long silver necklace along her torso. The back is my favorite part, seeming as if she is covered in diamonds, & it falls perfectly on her upper back.

There was a lot of controversy & criticism about her dress, understandably, with some calling it the most revealing of the night. I love the dress & I love her because she never responds to negativity, & she has no time for people who criticize her outfits. She wears what she wants & that is how it should be. The dress itself is stunning, but there is an extent to how much you would want to show in public.

The second gown I chose belongs to Olivia Culpo. She wore a magnificent Zuhair Murad piece, which was covered in a colorful floral design. The cut outs in the front of the dress kept it playful & fun. With perfectly applied natural makeup & a cranberry eye look, the look was flawless.

Next up, Vanessa Hudgens. She made an entrance in her Naeem Khan dress, dark embellishments & a gothic vibe to it. Her makeup was also kept simple, & her hair tied back in a low bun.

I’m a huge fan of cutouts on the hips, I think it’s different & unique, & this dress had subtle sheer cutouts which lead to an open back.

The next of my favorite dresses were none other than those belonging to the Jenner sisters.

Kendall wore the magnificent strapped ottoman side draped gown by Paule Ka to the after party. The trendy burnt orange silk dress, delicate jewelry & a high bun made this look incredibly chic & elegant.

Kylie, the younger of the two, wore this silver custom made Labour Joisie gown. Her hair was also pulled up into a high bun, this look was super glamorous. If anyone knows me, they would know I love the Jenner sisters’ style. They set the trends, & despite the fact that everyone wants to look like them, they still find a way to create new & incredible looks every day.

Hailey Baldwin accompanied the Jenner sisters to the after party, wearing a beautiful light pink gown by Elie Saab, decorated with a pink belt & gorgeous jewelry. I personally love this look because it is glamorous but gentle, & she pulls it off so well.

My next favorite is Miranda Kerr’s cream August Getty Atelier gown. She graced the carpet looking like the angel she is. She showed off her never – ending legs, & wore gorgeous silver high heels to match. Her dark lip & natural eyes added some drama to the look & completed it with her hair tied back.

All eyes were on Naomie Harris, as she arrived in her metallic Armani gown. The dress falls perfectly on her figure, & the light hits every angle perfectly. The dress makes a loud statement itself, but she softened it with her carefully arranged curls & natural makeup. The dress is breathtaking.

Last but never least, Hailee Steinfeld stole the spotlight in her Vera Wang hand draped lavender gown. Every time she moved, the dress flowed with her. With the sheer sleeves & shoulder cutouts, she was a masterpiece, making this my choice for best dressed of the evening.

Thank you so much for reading, & please keep on doing so as I have a LOT to say.
